What is the difference between directory path and file path?
I have just started learning Python, and I am not sure if I understood the difference between the directory path and file path.
For example, I want to create a new folder (on my hard disk) called “chicken” and in that folder, I want to place the following two files:
If I understand correctly, the directory path is where the files are stored, and the file path is where the files are named when you open them.
But, the syntax of Python seems very strange to me; it uses the dot (.), which I believe only refers to the current folder. Is the dot included in the file path?

The carrier is usually a flat or angular structure. The carrier is commonly used as a support for the production of an aeronautical part. In practice, the other parts of the structure are formed on the carrier. The filament is positioned in the region of the joint by a mechanical tool.
