Charles Dorman (9 May 1896 – 30 September 1971) was an English pianist and teacher.
Dorman was born in London, the son of a music publisher who was married to the soprano Clara Calpurna Dorman. He studied piano at the Royal College of Music with Tobias Matthay, Landon Ronald, and Vina Ida Pérez de Villegas, and was also a pupil of Edgar Bainton. He made his debut as a solo pianist in London in 1916.
From 1926 to 1938, Dorman was director of music at King’s College, London. He was appointed professor of piano at the Royal College of Music in 1938, and was also an examiner for the Royal College of Organists, the Royal College of Music and the Trinity College of Music. From 1962 to 1971, he was professor of piano at the Royal Academy of Music.
